When God Doesn’t Make Things Better
I’m starting out this blog post with no idea how it will actually end or where it is God is taking me as I write. This is the first time I’m putting what’s been stirring in my heart lately in writing. It is my way of offering up to God what I hold in my hands, head, and heart and giving Him permission to take over. I continue to sit and ponder what God is doing in me.
How to Sell a House and Buy a New One in Today’s Buyer’s Market
I wanted to write an updated blog post for those of you wondering how to sell a house and buy a new one in today’s buyer’s market! I wrote one a few years ago whenever we were in a seller’s market, but the market has changed! It is no longer a seller’s market and it hasn’t been for quite some time now. Due to higher interest rates, the market has quickly become saturated. Fewer properties are selling which means there are more properties to compete with when it comes to putting your house on the market. Properties are also sitting on the market longer than they did in the past. It’s more important now than ever to work with a REALTOR® who has continued to get properties SOLD despite the shifting market.
I Didn’t Know I Was Sinning
I turned 32 in December and found myself reflecting on all the things that make me “me” and pondering what it might look like for me to continue becoming the woman God created me to be. One thing that stood out to me was my love for writing and sharing with others what God has been teaching me. Although I’ve still been doing that through social media posts accompanied with pictures of sunsets as I’ve felt led, writing has been pushed aside for the most part as my business has continued to grow! I have been trying to reorganize my schedule to create space and make time to write because I think we honor God and bring Him delight when we share our gifts and passions with others. That is all I really hope to do…bring God delight by stepping into moments that feel Spirit-led and making time for what is lasting. I wasn’t planning on sharing this anytime soon, but here we go!
15 Things I Learned in 2023
Although I am aware that we can start fresh at any moment of any day, there is just something about the New Year that is good for my soul. I love taking the time to think back on the previous year and reflect on everything God has done and what He graciously allowed (or didn’t allow). And you know what else? I’ve actually rested these last two weeks of December. I still had to work—tending clients and maintaining transactions and organizing upcoming listings—but I only did what was absolutely necessary because a) this year wore me out and b) you’ll read below how I’m slowly learning to prioritize rest.

Which Buyer Type Are You?
I love recognizing what buyer type I am working with and then going out of my way to ensure I’m meeting their unique needs. No two buyers are the same! Each one has different needs, a different story, a different timeline, a different goal, and a different way of navigating the home buying process. I want to go through the five (5) different buyer types with you so you can figure out which buyer type you fall under and how I can best serve you regardless of what buyer type you are!
What You Can Do NOW to Prepare for Buying a Home LATER
It feels nearly impossible to know when the “right” time is to buy a new house or sell your current house (or both). As I’ve chatted with buyers and future buyers, I’ve noticed a common theme and thought I would put what I know about real estate and the home buying process in a blog post to hopefully help future buyers navigate the process. Buying a house is one of those things where you don’t know what you don’t know which is why it is that much more important to work with a realtor!

What to Anticipate the Next Two Years in Real Estate
Buyers have been frustrated since last summer (2022) as interest rates have been more than double (if not more) than what they were a few years ago during the pandemic. As a real estate agent, it’s my job to be in the know so I can be a trusted resource for buyers and sellers in the real estate market. This isn’t something I take lightly! East Texas Real Estate Market Update (April 2023)
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked just in the past week about the real estate market. The truth is, this market is different and it’s continuing to shift. A lot of real estate agents are leaving the career because of this changing market but not this gal. I love what I do and I love being challenged! I’m continuing to remind myself that the market may change but God does not. I’m called to be faithful in the small things, do my job well, and to keep showing up!
